Thanks for your assistance in training our Border Collie, Jordi. (Seen below with good friends) Here in New Zealand dog trainers such as yourself are a little thinner on the ground, so we were delighted to meet you, and impressed with the knowledge you possess on all things dog! (Thank you kind Sir! GH)
Jordi is an intelligent, but willful Border Collie and was pulling on the lead constantly, which made exercising him a chore. You managed to turn that situation around in about ten minutes! He now walks to heel impeccably and we are the envy of our friends and neighbours
whose animals still pull them around the block. Your skill and patience
were of the highest order. Delighted to have met The Dogfather, and
Thank you!!!
Graeme says: And I was delighted to meet you guys too! I had a great
time on my Australia & NZ trip and worked with breeds as diverse as
Shih-Tzu and American Bull Terrier. The photo was taken on the beach in
Howick, Auckland, with Waiheke Island in the background. That's the
sartorially elegant Nathan Perry with Jordi on the right. (It's also a
very rare photo in so much as it shows The Dogfather in shorts. It turns
out you don't need a licence for those legs Down Under after all..)

Thanks Graeme for all your help in getting our little Rex sorted. Puppy classes were great. We really enjoyed them & learnt a lot which is very very handy. Rex was fine over the firework period, completely chilled out.
Just got to stop him jumping up at our friends (just had a stranger in the house & he was no problem - no jumping). Also on recall when out walking etc. if no luck by the time the New Year sets in, we will contact you for a 1-1. Thanks again & enjoy your trip to Australia. Di, Jeff & Rex xx
Dogfather says: Di and Jeff had a Puppy one to one consultation in Jan 2011, then came to puppy classes and dog training classes. It shows - He's remarkably well behaved these days for a young Collie-cross. Well done guys, keep up the good work! Graeme Added 5th December 2011

They said it could not be done!
Tommy came to us from Basset Hound Rescue with "issues" and was showing fear aggression particularly towards adult males. Bentley was also a rehome and much as we love him could only be described as a nightmare (particularly on walks). In all honesty he was a spoilt brat with dominance issues. Evelyn was found roaming the streets of Milton Keynes and came to us via the pound in an appalling state. The vet did not think she would survive.
I was a little sceptical at first as Bassets are not renowned for their trainablility, Tommy reacted in the expected way when Graeme first came through the door. We took each dog out for a walk and Bentley (the brat) pretty quickly took on board the idea of walking nicely and not "lunging" at everything he saw. Tommy was still unsure until we got out on the walk and Graeme ended up walking him and Tommy began to lessen the "over-reaction" to everything he saw. By the end of the one to one dog training session Tommy and Graeme were having a (manly) hug.
We continued with the Dogfather's advice and walks have become less of a drama and more of a pleasure. On the follow up visit Graeme was pleased with the progress. We are still getting there, particularly with Tommy's fear issues but his wonderful personality is beginning to show through and we now have 3 wonderful dogs.
Rehome dogs can be hard work - but in reality I think they are no harder than a new puppy.

Before we chose puppy training classes with Graeme we did quite a lot of research in to who to go with. The feedback Dogfather received was excellent and stood out from the rest.
When we went to the puppy classes Graeme was very positive, confident and patient in what he was teaching us and we learnt a lot of skills in managing our lively terrier puppy. By the final class Bobby was able to pass the test with flying colours which gave us all a real sense of achievement.
We now feel confident in what we are doing and really enjoy our time with our dog which we are certain wouldn't have been the case without the classes.
We would highly recommend Graeme's services to anyone with a puppy.

We asked Graeme for help 2 weeks after re-homing our 12 month old black lab, Benji. Up until then he enjoyed taking us for walks at Benji pace and jumping up on us at home constantly! In one to one dog training, Graeme took the time to assess our needs with some fascinating insight into dog and owner psychology.
The jumping was cured pretty well straight away. Once on the lead Graeme weaved his magic and had Benji trotting beside him within a couple of minutes - I could not believe my eyes. After a couple of visits from Graeme, Benji has improved 100% on the lead - so goodbye Halti and hello flat collar!

"Thanks for visiting us twice and helping us with Charlie. Your advice was simple and effective and in most parts common sense. I think we just needed to be told from a professional the right way to tackle our dog training or indeed reinforce the fact that we were actually doing some things right!.
"Charlie is now becoming a much calmer puppy who is an absolute pleasure to have around the house. His lead walking has improved 100% with your very simple advice, and hopefully with time the recall training will pay dividends. Thanks again!"

"Thanks so much for the fab puppy classes from which the 3 of us have all learned so much in a fun and friendly environment. Truffle is rightly proud of her ‘ology’ as her graduation piccie shows and we have already put her name down for the adult dog training classes.
"Despite being experienced dog owners, this was our first introduction to ‘proper’ dog training and we would highly recommend your classes to any new puppy and their family."

Steph & Jason, Rottweiler owners from Northampton |

"We have two Rottweilers, Diablo and Tiamo, both are dearly loved members of our family. We desperately needed dog training help with 'Tiar' who, through being protective of her Mum, had harmed two small dogs. This caused obvious distress to their owners and genuine distress to us. We were apprehensive about enrolling any dog trainer because Rotties come with a bit of a reputation.
"Finding Dogfather Training was a wish come true not only was he an exceptional dog trainer, cos lets face it, most of the problems are ours not our dogs, but Graeme also has two Rotties so he knows all their traits.
"As soon as Graeme came into our home he was able to calm them. Yes, they did their usual “who is this, I’m going to bounce all over him until I get the attention I deserve” but he was reminded them that good things come to those that wait and within a minute they were sat at his feet waiting for him to tell them when it was time for fuss. The miracle didn’t stop there. Usually when leads go on it is a fight which dog is going to barge through the door first. Not with Graeme, oh no. He had Tiar sitting at the door waiting to be invited out to walk.
"Graeme was able to put us at our ease and worked with me specifically so that I was able to maintain my dogs' focus on me and to make sure that despite how much she wanted to go off and greet other dogs, she couldn’t. This was her walk but on MY terms.
"I now have my dogs back. Whilst they have always been a joy in our home, walking them often felt like Russian roulette but I now feel comfortable walking them on my own and in complete and full control. Thank you so very much Graeme!"
Graeme says: It was a privilege to be able to help a couple of dogs who'd previously got themselves into so much trouble. 'Tiar' in particular had been a big worry to responsible owners Steph and Jason. I'm absolutely delighted to report that after One to One Dog Training they're much, much, better behaved now. (So are the dogs, incidentally. Ahem.)

“After spending a morning with the Dogfather, I could not believe how well behaved and responsive Jack could be. It’s as though the Dogfather has some magical powers when it comes to dogs. I was shocked and it made me realise that perhaps it was me that needed the training!
After both myself and Jack underwent our one to one dog training I took Jack out and he proudly showed off his new lead walking skills.
It’s great, he no longer pulls me head first out of the front door!
We shall keep up the good work!!! – Thanks Graeme!” Added 16th August 2011

"This is to say thank you so much for what you have done for Maisey and I. She is a totally different dog to take on walks now. If you remember she used to take me and it was not a very pleasant experience. I can now go out in confidence with her and she mainly walks to heel, apart from the first 5 minutes where she is excited.
I have now calmed her down so that she sits at the front door with it open until I say she can go. I still a bit of a problem with getting her out of the gate, I put that down to her youthful nature. She has calmed down a great deal and I have kept up all the things that you suggested and told me. What a different dog she is!
"Thank you so much for your help with her and not forgetting me. I know I was too soft with her but now she knows I am in charge and she is not.
"I have sung your praises to people and no doubt that in time they will call you to help them. Thank you very much again for your help."
Graeme says: How lovely! An unsolicited (and unedited) message received today from a One to One Dog Training client. Ingrid: Keep up the good work. She was looking LOADS better when I saw you last. It's easy when you know how, eh? Even with big powerful dogs like a GSD. (And you're quite right, it is very much about training people as well as dogs. Well done!).

I just wanted to thank you for the one to one dog training sessions you had with Tipex.
Although only 2 years old he was head strong and definitely not obedient.
Thanks to three meetings he is a new dog and everyone comments on the changes. He now walks by my side, waits when I tell him to stop, and is so much calmer!
We are off on holiday in a few weeks so hopefully we will have a smooth trip.

Thanks for yesterday ...it was really informative and made so much sense. It's such a bonus to have not only the skills to work with the dogs, but the insight into why they behave in the way they do.
I've just got back from taking 'the boys' out for a walk. Once again Charlie was great... I'm so proud of him. I, on the other hand need a bit more practice!!! The walk with Seamus was his first time and we just need to practice what we've learnt from you.

Seeing the transformation in Charlie on the lead was nothing short of amazing and I can't thank you enough. I've gone on about it so much to everyone that I think they're going to start hiding in cupboards to get away from me!!! Once again, thank you! Ann-Marie

Dogfather One to One Dog Training: This has been one of the best things we have ever spent money on.
We have had dogs all our lives and had assumed we knew what we were doing. I am the main dog trainer/companion/owner. Then we became the owners of a very bright border collie and life changed. However 3 hours with you has taught me, and the rest of the family, how our behaviour and techniques influence Sam.
After my first session with you and Sam, I wrote up all that I had learned and then shared that with all the family. We all started behaving in the same way - commands, way of saying things, and our body language all conveyed the same messages. The second session when we did all the dog recall training has been the best experience ever- I am actually looking forward to taking Sam out - without needing a ball to get him back!!
Graeme says: Great news! Keep up the good work Fiona! (It's probably no surprise to readers that my dog training is as much about training people as dogs. The big improvements in Sam's behaviour came from Fiona's new understanding of how he thinks and learns. If you'd like to learn a little and make a big difference to your dog's behaviour, contact me here!)

slip lead. Thanks Graeme for pointing the way to happier and more
obedient humans! we now get positive comments about the dogs behaviour!"

Luckily it's not necessary when you know how. I take my hat off to her - Once she was on the right track from a one to one dog training consultation, there was no stopping her, she's just improved her dog walking technique with time and the dogs have continued to get better and happier (along with their people!). Just a quick email to say how much Delphi and I enjoyed your puppy classes!
Although I have rescued dogs in the past, Delphi is the first puppy I have brought up from scratch - my others were all adult dogs. I was very keen not to make some of the mistakes with her that I have made in the past! I have learnt an awful lot about dog training and dog behaviour in the six weeks puppy training and socialisation course and now feel much more confident about going forward.
Most importantly of all though, Delphi has had a lot of fun and has grown in confidence when meeting other dogs and people! Thank you very much!! I would definitely recommend your training classes to anyone with a new puppy, whether they had owned dogs before or not!
(Graeme says: Thanks for taking the time to write in Helen. Doesn't she look pleased with herself? Well done to both of you! Good luck with the agility, I'm sure you'll do well. It's a team game and you're great together)

Gwenn Mc, Border Terrier Owner, Rushden - 2 from the same litter - Ouch !!! |

Having done the unspeakable and bought two puppies from the same litter, I employed the services of the Dogfather early on to ensure I didn't get things badly wrong with Fern and Bracken, the demon duo.
I chose one to one puppy training. Graeme gave me personally so much training on pack position, recall, obedience and general control.
I now have two fabulous 17 month old Border Terriers and I am continuously getting amazing comments about their good behaviour and excellent interaction with other dogs.
They have recently been attending "doggy day care" and their interaction with all other dogs is so positive. It was commented on that people thought they were at least 3 years old as they are so calm and well behaved.
Many thanks Graeme. We would never have got to this stage without you! Gwenn (Added 21st May 2011)

Boswell was attacked by a Labrador whilst out walking. We then found every time we met another dog he became more and more aggressive, growling and snarling. I called Graeme and he came to visit us in our home. (For info on One to One Dog Training, click here)
I was amazed at how Boss behaved. He was put on a lead and taken out by Graeme with us following, seeing a totally different dog from the one we had, walking properly on a lead, no pulling and very eager to please. We worked on our instructions for 3 weeks before Graeme returned and this time with “reinforcements”, Gordon the Rottie. I would have never believed that Gordon and Boswell would be walking on leads together. Graeme’s ability to control both dogs was amazing.
We now have the confidence to know how to help Boss. We were getting anxious when we met other dogs and that made Boswell insecure. Thanks to Graeme I feel confident to walk him again without tensing up and trying to avoid every dog we meet.
He had a visit to the vets on Monday for his booster and the waiting room was full of dogs, plus his worst nightmare “a black Lab”. He walked in without any growling, sat down and he was the best behaved dog there.

We have two Great Danes, Toby and Izzy, brother and sister. We tried a couple of dog training classes with them when they were 14 weeks old. All that happened was that we got dragged around the halls. I then saw the card for The Dogfather in the vets, so gave Graeme a ring. He arranged to come over at a time to suit us.
When he got here we sat and had a chat about the dogs and what the daily routine was. Our biggest problem was walking. They used to drag us all over the place including into the road. Graeme asked us to get one of them ready to go out as we would normally and he straight away showed us how to get them to wait at the door until we said it was time to move. I couldn't believe dog behaviour could change so quickly!
We went out and straight away Toby wasn't in control of the walk. The difference was remarkable! After that we've found that with the techniques Graeme has shown us that we can walk them both together without being pulled in every direction. Graeme is a very pleasant and easy to get along with too. Thank you Graeme!
(Graeme says: You're welcome ladies. Thank YOU too for your kind words! It's great to hear Toby and Izzy are doing well. I always say leading a walk is not about physically overpowering the dog and you're the living proof. It's hard to out-handle a Great Dane, but it's easy to be a good leader when you know how. Well done!)

Hudson came to us about six weeks ago. He was very very lively. I soon realised that I hadn’t trained any of my previous dogs. They had learnt from the dogs I already had, they’d just come in and followed the pack. I had just been taking the credit! After some research and speaking to a few dog trainers, I came across The Dogfather (Graeme)
The one to one session was excellent. We talked about the psychology behind training and what is needed of me to allow Hudson to follow and get the leadership he needed. The insight to how Hudson was thinking made many of his actions completely understandable.
Much of what we discussed seemed so obvious when pointed out, as correct answers often are. Nothing suggested was difficult or complicated. But it had to be consistent and the timing had to be right.
The recall training session was a few weeks later of sticking to the “rules” and a real corner has been turned. Hudson was never a bad dog, just very excitable and on a bit of a hair trigger. He’s now learning how and when to let that excitement out: How to behave in different situations and how to greet people without bouncing all over them! I have a much greater appreciation of what he needs and how to encourage and reward the progress he is making.
Thank you Graeme for your help and excellent instruction. Added 10th April 2011

During your very generous first visit we took notice of everything you said and have put into practice the techniques advised. Poppy has responded so well that we cancelled the follow up visit as there was nothing for you to do.
I would like to say that the way you interacted with Poppy showed us how bright she was and this gave us more confidence in the way we interacted with her and we know she has noticed that as well. Thanks so much! Maureen and Ricky.
Graeme says - Note to self: Doh!! I really must stop being too effective for my own good! (Only joking. Actually I've built my reputation on being able to fix dog training and dog behaviour problems quickly and effectively for people, so happy clients recommend me all the time. That's fine by me!) Hi Graeme I have just returned from a lovely early spring walk with Max. Saw lots of dogs with their owners and every single one commented on what a lovely calm well behaved dog Max was, I told every single one this was down to you and your great dog training methods. Max isn't perfect but he is a great family pet thanks to you. Jacky and the not so Mad Max. (Posted on Dogfather's Facebook page)
Graeme says: Jacky did some 121 puppy training and came to puppy classes almost 2yrs ago. He was soooo friendly but he was about as excitable as a cocker spaniel gets (which is very excitable!), so he got the nickname Mad Max. Jacky's applied what she learnt and he's become a lovely (and loving) family pet in the long term. Great! 25th Feb 2011

Thanks Graeme. We are so pleased with all the dog training advice you've given. Loftus is a terrier so we know a lot is his instinct but we are in control of him outside now, not the other way as it was before we knew you! He's responding really well to the normal collar and lead. He is always eager when we first start walking but he understands he's got to calm down.
With regards to his reaction to other dogs, now there's no shouting, no hiding him from the other dog, just calmly controlling the situation, not letting it phase us and the results are good. Thank you so much for all your help. We didn't really know how to deal with him when out of the house and now that situation has changed totally. Added 16th Feb 2011

Hi Graeme, I just wanted to let you know that we had our best dog walk ever this weekend. He didn't pull me around at all - like stopping at every lampost - and was happy just to follow me.
He was in the zone of just walking and I gave him 10 out of 10 for every dog we passed. Even meeting the excitable dog that was off the lead was OK. I will keep on with the top tips I learnt from you as they have made him a happier dog and me a happier dog owner. Thank you so much for your help!
(Note from Graeme: 'Happier dog and happier owner' - That's what I strive for! 8yr old 'staffie' Pancho had been attacked and he'd become very fearful and sometimes aggressive towards other dogs on the lead before we met. Luckily, it's certainly NOT true that 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks'!) Added 18th November 2010

When we got Dexter as a rescue dog one year ago he was over excited and basically out of control. After several months and dog training sessions with someone else he was getting worse!
Then, thankfully, I met Graeme! After his first visit Dexter was so much calmer it was unbelievable. I then did a course of HIS dog training sessions and worked on all his techniques. All the dog training is now paying off and he is well on the way to becoming a well behaved dog on and off the lead.
He still has issues with some other dogs but I am determined to overcome those as well. Dexter has come a long way in a year and I am very glad that I had Graeme's help when it was needed most! (I'm delighted you're happy too Sheila! G) Added 12th October 2010

We rescued our 2 year old Labrador cross, Benson, nearly a year ago who we had no history on, other than him being found on the streets. He was great for the first 6 months but once he realised he was with us for good, he decided he wanted to rule the roost! In the hope of nipping his bad behaviour in the bud, we called Graeme
Our first issue was Benson’s territorial aggression, especially in the garden so Graeme came round to help us sort him out. Needless to say, we sat and chatted about the reasons for his behaviour and when Benson decided to start causing havoc in the garden, we sat and watched as Graeme put him in his place. He gave us plenty of things to work on and we put these into practice as soon as he left. Within hours it was like having a different dog in the house, it was amazing!
Benson has changed beyond all belief and we constantly get comments about how much calmer he is. Graeme has just been to give us some tips on how to get Benson walking well on the lead so we’re now armed and ready to go! If you are having problems with your dog, we can’t recommend Graeme highly enough, he is very good at explaining why your dog is behaving the way he is and shows you how to turn your behaviour around to get the results you want, without making you feel stupid! Thanks Graeme for all your help with Benson, I’m sure we’ll be in touch!! Chris & Jo. (Added 5th Sept 2010)

I adopted my 6 year old dalmation Nugget last November. It was immediately
clear that she had a loving and sweet nature, but often she was a ball of
nervous energy and I came to dread walking her on the lead as she would pull me
round the streets 'till my arms hurt! :(
I desperately needed help. When Graeme came to see us he shared his wisdom about dog
psychology in a friendly and funny way, and I have to say that some of the
points he made were a real revelation! ("Ahhhh- so that's why she does
that!")
I was staggered when Graeme took the lead and she was walking
obediently beside him within 10 yards! (I'd seen Cesar Millan do this on the TV
but I must say I was reluctant to believe it was true until I saw it with my own
eyes!) Not quite so quickly for me, as i needed to practice and break my own
poor habits, but thanks to Graeme's direction and guidance she is now a pleasure
to walk! :)
My Nugget is now a much calmer, obedient and happy dog and I
can't thank you enough Dogfather! Lisa. Added 9th Aug 2010

Milo used to be nervous and nippy and we couldn’t find a way to fix it. He made us feel on edge and we were even considering rehoming him before we called you.
Since you came
he’s much improved. We had 2 children come to stay on Sat and they slept
over (2 and 3yrs). They were running around with Milo
and he was as good as gold. He's SOOOO much better. He is better outside and his greetings are better too - I can come in the house now without being knocked over! Thank you!! Added 10th May 2010

After just one visit we have made loads of progress and continue to with the advice Graeme gave. Thank you Graeme! Added 21st April 2010

We were worried about our 10 year old dog
showing aggression towards our baby. Graeme showed us how we could implement
some really simple steps that changed his attitude towards our
daughter.
Since working with Graeme we have seen many positive changes in our
dog's behaviour. We can honestly say we now have a different dog, who has fully
accepted our new addition to the family. Thanks Graeme! Added 6th March 2010

We contacted Graeme as soon as we had our new golden retriever puppy settled in
our home. We wanted to get things right from the beginning so we could
avoid any problems later. Our first meeting with Graeme was with the whole
family so we could check we were all singing from the same hymn sheet. His
initial explanations over dog psychology were fascinating and put everything
into perspective. I then had one to one puppy training sessions where we worked on walking on
the lead and recall as well as general behaviour issues.
The great benefit of Graeme's sessions is we could work on things which had
cropped up during the intervening weeks, from chewing to deciding that being
snarly might just get her her own way. We had only one slight problem which was
that Harley had so much respect for Graeme that whilst he was here she often
showed no signs of the behaviours I wanted to show him!
By following his easy to understand guidance we have a puppy who is a
pleasure to take out for walks both on and off the lead. Her behaviour continues
to improve every day. She is quite a character already and at only 6 months old
I am sure things will still crop up but thanks to Graeme we now have some tools
at our disposal to help us deal with them, and we know he is at the other end of
the phone if we need him. Added 18th Feb 2010

We
called Graeme shortly after we got Cassie at 8 weeks old, we thought we would
start early! First we had a one to one puppy training session in which Graeme gave us some very
good tips on controlling Cassie's behaviour, walking and general training, all
of which proved very useful and we are still using 9 months later. We backed
this up by joining Graeme's weekly puppy classes where Cassie socialised with other
dogs in a controlled environment and we built on what we had previously learnt.
Thanks
to Graeme's knowledge and dog training methods Cassie is growing into a lovely well
behaved and sociable dog, and she is a pleasure to have. I would recommend
anyone with a young dog to give Graeme a call and give you and your dog the best
possible start. Added 3rd Feb 2010

"I contacted Graeme as my cute little Jack Russell started growling and being
possessive when our friends visited with their little 2 yr old
toddler.
2 weeks on and I am
delighted to say that Elle has a lot more respect for me and what I say. The big
test was when my friend brought over her little girl - she was very good
and the little girl was stroking Elle's tummy, asking Elle for a paw. It was the most relaxed I have managed to be with the little one
around.
There was
nothing complicated about the dog training techniques that Graeme told me to use, but
he educated me to how a dog thinks and I know I couldn't have managed to correct
my dogs behaviour without him. There must be so many dogs out there that
become homeless as humans just don't understand them!
Thank you so very much Graeme, I am over the moon with the change in
Elle's behaviour!" Added 9th Dec 2009

We called Graeme after
several quotes for expensive dog training classes and after we had
tried everything, we thought we were going to have to accept buying a
new sofa every month and being dragged for miles on walks. After
lesson 1 we noticed a difference, just being firm and persistant
with him meant Jack did what we said straight away. We now have
pleasant walks, a tidy house and a lovely family pet - something we could have
only dreamed about before we called Graeme. If you think you have nowhere
else to turn, Graeme is your man!! Added 1st Dec 2009

Re: 'Merlin's 'journey into the light!' This
morning he let me play fetch with him, progress indeed for a dog that used to
run after the ball and either eat it or clamp his jaws firmly round it for
the duration of the walk! Amazing! Many thanks for the advice and
observations, Merlin admitted today that he was quite enjoying the whole
experience! 11th November 2009

"Graeme is an absolute star. I contacted him as a last resort as the love I
once had for our adorable little Border Collie pup Sam was turning into loathing. He was
growing into a boisterous and destructive dog. After just one session with Graeme
we saw the most amazing transformation in Sam. He taught us how to regain control and become pack leaders. We are all much
happier now, especially Sam. I feel so proud now when we go for a walk - both of Sam
and myself.
I would happily recommend The Dogfather to anyone. We were quite
late in training Sam and I was worried that any dog trainer would frown at me
and make me feel like a bad owner. Graeme is brilliant, he instantly makes you feel at ease, is funny, and makes
the dog training process extremely enjoyable".16th Oct 2009 See also Sinead's 5 star review of Dogfather on Bview

"Thank you so much for your help with Dexter - you trained me to understand the
"language" of dog in so many easy, common sense ways that taking him out for a
walk is now an absolute pleasure rather than an ordeal" Hilary has also noticed "95% improvement on recall" and is now "incredibly proud of his behaviour"

"I would like to
thank you for all your help. We were so close to rehoming Alfie, much to our
disappointment. He is a very strong willed lab, and no amount of dog training
seemed to help. We have spent hundreds of pounds and tried everything within
our power to train him, and nothing has worked. We couldn't believe how fast
Alfie changed with a one to one session with you. Our faces couldn't stop
smiling with delight.
We really didn't
want to lose Alfie, but with My wife Lisa due to give birth to our first child,
we really were worried about him around our little one. Without your help we
would have been without Alfie by now. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU"

"Hi Graeme. Thanks for helping us to get Woody (staffy x rescue) settled into
the family. After following advice he's quickly learnt some manners, is
much calmer around food and is generally a pleasure to live with. He has
even stopped bringing us long-dead animals because he knows he only has to hand
them over to Mum!! Gracie has also accepted he's here to stay.
Thanks again, will call you when I can persuade Simon to get a
3rd!!" 17th Aug 2009

"The advice and work Graeme has done with both us and Suzie, our lab/lurcher, has
made a tremendous difference in our lives. There has been a dramatic change in
her behaviour the majority of the time indoors. From being a dominant excitable
teenager (she is 2 1/4 and a rescue dog) to a much calmer obedient dog who is a
pleasure to be around. She reacts so much better to visitors, settling much
more quickly after her initial welcome. There is still work to do using the
advice from Graeme but she has come a long way". 16th June 2009

"Hi, Just wanted to thank you for
the advice regarding Molly getting in to the car. Followed it last night and
already there's big improvement. Also wanted to add comment to last nights puppy
class; having only a small group of puppies really works for those so young. I
was also really impressed to be able to take the class 'on the road' by using
the local park, and practising our new learnt skills in the real world. Thank
you Graeme, for your time, helpful hints, and your everlasting patience." 27th May 2009

"Ellie missed out on
the dog training she needed from 6-18 months and, aged two and a
bit, had assumed a position of authority in our household (in a nice way). After
the initial 2hr session and a couple of 1hr stints Ellie and I have
both been taught how to behave towards each other. Team leadership has been
established and I have come out on top (for a change).
It is a pleasure to go
out for walks now and I am happy in the knowledge that I am in control. More
importantly Ellie has not lost any of her character and when she is playing
with other dogs she is the same old Ellie. The big difference is that she knows
when to play and when to stop. I would recommend Graeme to anyone with dog behavioural problems" 20/05/09

"A big thank you to "The Dogfather" for his patience, after just a week of following your guidance we are
beginning to see light at the end of our dog walking tunnel. The subtle
changes we have made when responding to our dogs have already resulted in more
positive behaviour . The dogs appear happier and calmer all round. Our new found leadership is in turn
equipping us to take on challenges in the bigger arena of the outside world. We have a long way to go but are learning to interpret the
canine signals and correct behaviour before it escalates. In the
past we have read the books, watched the TV shows but nothing compares to hands
on expertise. We are the FOLLOWERS of the Dogfather but the LEADERS of our
dogs, Many thanks again, Louise" 19/04/09

"I thought I had tried everything before I
contacted The Dogfather. Graeme helped me to understand my dog's psychology.
He's Northamptonshire's answer to Cesar Millan - Dog Whisperer. He’s helped me
realise that before I can expect my dog to change I need to make changes too.
Its amazing how much we humanise our pets but the simplicity of their minds are
totally different to ours and with Graeme’s help I now understand my dog's
behaviour and how I can correct and control it to work for me as well as my
dog"

“I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Graeme for helping with my 2 yr old Boxer Zak. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we missed out on a chunk of training when he was younger. Zak is a strong lad and I needed to feel in control. Graeme gave me that confidence and in just a week my friends noticed a difference. He has shown me that without having to 'shout and stamp my feet' just with him knowing his place in the pack I am getting 'my boy' back and in control. Being a pack leader is something you have to do everyday, so thank you Graeme for giving me the confidence”
