... and the barber said something that made me laugh so I thought I'd share it with you. Nothing to do with dog training, but I'm sure you'll forgive the indulgence.I go to a little Italian barber's shop in Kettering on Rockingham Road. It's called Salon 101 but everyone knows it as Vince's place. They're VERY Italian in there and on a good day you hear as much Italian and Napoletan dialect as English. (Except when I'm there when you might hear the odd word of Italian with a Yorkshire accent). I always pop next door for an expresso afterwards at the Italian cafe. Best coffee in the county, I reckon. It's my once-a-month, one hour Italian holiday.
They've always been amused by the Dogfather name, probably because I'm about as far removed as you can get from Marlon Brando and the Godfather, and we usually end up having a laugh and chatting about dog training and dog behaviour.
Today when it was my turn, I was greeted with:
"Please take a seat, DOG Corleone".
I'm honoured. I've always joked that I'm world famous in Northampton but now it seems I'm infamous in Kettering!
