I don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ approach to solving dog problems.
Every dog, owner or family are different. Each unique combination deserves a solution that is tailor-made for you and your dog/s.
My approach differs from any other dog trainer or dog behaviourist because I combine knowledge and understanding (The stuff you learn in books) with a practical ability to get the results you want for your dog. That's more than knowledge, it's a feel for dogs & puppies. (The bit you can't learn from books!)
-
I've studied dog psychology and so I can explain
to you what your dog is thinking – and why - in common-sense terms. You
probably don’t want hours of technical jargon and waffle, you want to
understand why your dog is behaving this way, and find out how to fix
it, yes..? (Incidentally, most owners find dog psychology absolutely
fascinating)
- I’m a hands-on dog trainer with a reputation among my clients as a ‘dog whisperer’ (Have a look at "What Clients Say"). There’s a difference between competition obedience, which most people don’t want or need, and great everyday behaviour. I can help you with competition-style training - in fact I compete myself – but it’s not what most people want. Whatever you want for your dog, I can show you HOW to get right result in the right way.
I love my work - and it comes across, apparently! I’ve been told that a Dogfather consultation is entertaining as well as educational. The ones who should benefit the most are the dogs of course, and provided that we come up with the best possible outcome for them, then we can have a bit of a laugh along the way.
As you have a right to expect, as a full time professional dog trainer I carry insurance that covers both of us comprehensively whilst you and/or your dog are with me. I’m separately insured for transporting dogs and I am a Member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists too. I'm A Master Dog Trainer with the Guild Of Dog Trainers and a Member of the Institute of Animal Care Education too, so you can be assured that you're in good hands.
As you would expect, the methods I use are modern and non-abusive. Check out What Clients Say for more info! Graeme Hall (Graham Hall) "The Dogfather", Northamptonshire
